🧩 Emoji puzzle
Guess the German word!
German glues words together like no other language. Two emojis = one German word. Pick the right one – and learn its meaning.
German – the LEGO of languages
German loves building new words out of old ones. “Hand” + “Schuh” (shoe) becomes Handschuh – a glove, literally a “hand shoe”. “Schlaf” (sleep) + “Anzug” (suit) becomes Schlafanzug – pyjamas, a “sleep suit”. These compound words are called Komposita, and they make German tricky to learn but perfect for puzzles.
